Ancil Hoffman is an eighteen-hole, par 72 public golf course that
is nearly 6,800 yards in length from the championship tees. This
traditional golf course, with its tree-lined fairways and well-placed
bunkers, is a pleasure to play because it rewards good shots, and
penalizes poor ones. And although Ancil Hoffman has few hills and
very little water on the course, it will entertain and challenge
golfers of every ability level.
Designed by noted golf course architect William Francis Bell,
Ancil Hoffman Golf Course opened for play in 1965. The course is
owned by the County of Sacramento, and named in honor of former
Sacramento County Supervisor Ancil Hoffman. It is located within
Ancil Hoffman Park, along the banks of the American River in the
Carmichael area of Sacramento County.

“Surprisingly good test… A great layout
with lots of trees, which makes it challenging and difficult… This
public course has a good clubhouse and great service... Possibly
