Located in the Sacramento area, the scenic California Gold Country, the Wine Country and Valley of the Moon in Sonoma County, Empire Golf’s portfolio boasts six fine 18-hole championship golf courses. The Golf Digest Award-winning DarkHorse, in the Sierra Foothills is ranked among the Top 10 best courses in California. Some of the premier golf architects in the business have crafted our courses: Ted Robinson, Keith Foster, Robert Muir Graves and the legendary William Francis “Billy” Bell. While Empire Golf offers a wide variety of playing experiences, all our courses emphasize enjoyable golf at affordable prices. We maintain our courses to underscore the joy and fun of playing this great game, including walk-able, walker-friendly properties.
Empire’s courses offer discounts and affordable specials to our loyal customers through our E-Club. We welcome Seniors with special senior rates. All courses participate in Junior Golfer Programs, including a Junior Development Academy. We offer tournament-friendly group rates and discounts to all groups, including NCGA Associate Clubs. All of our courses host membership in Men’s, Women’s and Junior Clubs.
Boasting all-grass practice areas and tees, each facility is ideal for golf lessons and instruction, clinics and camps run by PGA Professionals. Look for our regularly scheduled Demo Days and tune up your game at our Eric Pollard Golf Academy. Empire’s commitment to Junior Golf and Golfers includes our Junior Development Academy, an intense junior workshop for aspiring golfers.
The Oakmont Golf Club is an ideal Wedding Venue with a Wine Country location, boasting two 18-hole courses. Oakmont offers one of the best clubhouses and restaurants in the Wine Country serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Empire’s courses feature the perfect locations for weddings, wedding receptions, tournaments, banquets, Christmas and Holiday parties and buffets, retirement parties, memorial services and special events with an occupancy capacity of up to 300.
Besides offering stunning views at several Empire courses, the clubhouses and restaurants are the perfect sites for corporate outings, Sunday and Holiday brunches. Many of Empire’s courses offer golf getaways and stay-and-play packages: Wine Country and Gold Country packages are available.
We are proud of our environmental record, our eco-friendly approach to caring for our properties. A top priority in 2010 for each of our facilities is to achieve the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program certification.
